Some Day My Prince Will Come... (Snow White)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

OK, the time has finally come!

CHRIS MADE IT TO FLORIDA!!!!!!!!

His flight was supposed to land in Orlando around 9pm, but it kept getting delayed due to inclement weather, so he didn't land until about 10:30 and still had to drive 45 minutes to get to our hotel!

We stayed at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter resort, where it is Mardi Gras 24/7! It was a cute resort, but not much Disney magic except in the gift shop. I'll share pictures later!

I was so excited, I HAD to get every celebration button imaginable to commemorate the occasion!

The top button I purchased from an online site called Etsy. They have all kinds of neat and fun trinkets for people to purchase!
The red button says "Happy Anniversary!" and I got this one because Chris and I just had our 7-month anniversary (judge all you want but I still wanted to acknowledge the time!)
The third button says "...Happily Ever After!" and it doesn't lie!
The next two buttons are my DCP celebrating buttons.
The last button is a "1st Visit!" button, and under it I wrote "Together" since Chris and I were visiting Disney World for the first time together!
Bright and early on Friday morning ready to head to Magic Kingdom!!!
A guy dressed as a fireman took our picture in front of Cinderella's Castle!
On our way to our lunch reservation, we walked by THE Fairy Godmother herself!!!!!!!!!
Guess where we ate for lunch?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
BE OUR GUEST the RESTAURANT!!!!!!!! INSIDE BEAST'S CASTLE!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!
Right as you walk inside the door, you can see into the Grand Ballroom where Belle and Beast share their iconic dance!
I am WAY too excited for this moment!!!
Beautiful stain glass straight from the movie!
This hallway lead to the east wing where people were able to eat!
Simply breahtaking!!!!
WE'RE INSIDE!!!!!!!!
He was excited too (more to eat some food than about where we were eating it haha)
I thought this was a buzzer, but I guess it just lets the waiter know that we have reservations and are waiting for food! I like it because it has a rose printed into it.
I was able to go into the West Wing (although Belle is forbidden to go there in the movie). The iconic destroyed portrait of the beast in human form hangs on the wall.
The whole room
Again
The famous rose in a glass case and the mirror!
It was SNOWING out there...and yes, it's supposed to look like nighttime 24/7
The East Wing
Again
Belle and Beast dance in here (it's just a statue)
Chris had a turkey sandwich that was really good.
I had braised pork with green beans and mashed potatoes. YUM!
And we just HADDDD to try the infamous "Grey Stuff!"
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Grey Stuff, it comes from the song, "Be Our Guest." Lumiere tells Belle to "try the grey stuff, it's delicious." Then goes on to say, "Don't believe me? Ask the dishes!" It's very cute...and Grey Stuff is YUMMY!!!! It tastes like a very sweet mousse, but not too sweet that you don't want to stuff the whole thing in your mouth at once. It had the perfect amount of sweetness.

Again
We also had this other cupcake that was a chocolate cupcake with chocolate ganache and a raspberry on top!
Gorgeous, isn't it?
About to try the Grey Stuff for the first time....I've been dreaming about this moment since I found out that you could actually order it in real life!!!!!

After lunch, we decided to ride a couple smooth movin' rides to let our food settle. As we walked out of the castle/restaurant, I wanted to get a picture of the crest on the gates.

The first smooth movin' ride we rode was Haunted Mansion. This ride has definitely gotten creepier, or I'm just a big wimp nowadays. Who knows, but Chris said it had definitely changed since he had last been on it (way back when he was in 5th GRADE!)

Our ride got stuck at the part where the ghosts are at dinner and are dancing. I love the pictures I was able to catch while we were stopped.
Hidden Mickey, anyone?
We had a ghost sitting on top of our Doom Buggy as we were getting ready to get off!
Walking out of the ride, we passed the pet cemetery!
Eeeeek, look at those clouds. They weren't there when we went into the Haunted Mansion. We hightailed it to Big Thunder Mountain to try and beat the rain (the entire queue line is covered, so we would be protected from the rain in there).
They have some ginormous aloe plants!!!!!

Here comes the downpour. The wait time for BTM was originally 10-15 minutes. We ended up waiting nearly an hour and a half for the rain to stop.
It's really coming down out there.....
.....which gives us a reason for SELFIES!!!!!
We finally made it to the actual train!!!!
YAY!!! Let's ride!!!

Next we rode Mine Train. Chris was so excited that he videoed nearly the entire ride! We also got to ride in the back, which in my opinion, is the best seat to ride that ride on. Otherwise, it feels like you don't go fast at all.

The Winnie the Pooh ride is right across the walkway from Mine Train, so when we exited that ride, we hopped in the queue for Pooh Bear's ride! They have really amped up the queue lines for the majority of their rides. You can now let your kids play on a playground while you wait in line for the ride. There are many different things to touch and interact with, including screens that you can touch to "wipe away the honey" to reveal different characters.

I found TIGGER!!!!!!
Honey "drips over the pages"
Excited to ride!!!
Found Eeyore!
Another selfie!
Tigger has his own scene (duh, he's just that awesome!), and they've made it so that the cart you're in "bounces" with Tigger everywhere he goes!

This part in neat because Pooh drifts off to sleep, and then his dream self leaves his body (that's the floating part you see).
Hey! Those people look familiar!!!!
Hooray!!!!
Oh, Pooh Bear!

We decided to walk around a little bit and see what all was going on in New Fantasyland!

We didn't get to meet Gaston, but Chris wanted to sit in his chair to show him who was boss!

Gaston "uses antlers in all of his decorating!"

We rode Ariel the ride next, and this is probably my favorite picture from the whole ride!

Next we rode Space Mountain. There was hardly any wait!! It was awesome!!!

Next, I challenged Chris to a battle. We went on Buzz Lightyear's ride that allows you to shoot targets and gain points. I told Chris he was going down. I guess we'll see who won and who lost...

In the queue, we found a Mickey head on planet Earth.
Had to get a selfie with the man himself, Buzz!
As you can see....I lost. My score is on the left, Chris's is on the right....
Why do I ALWAYS look weird?!

Phew!!! Alright, we'd ridden enough rides. Time to go have some dinner, go back to the hotel, and change into our outfits for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP for short).

We decided to go have dinner at my work since it was a 10-minute walk from Magic Kingdom AND I get a discount. Win-Win!

As we walked to the Contemporary, we found WALDO!!!!!!

We went back to our hotel room to change into our Halloween "costumes." I put that in quotation marks because they aren't really costumes, but t-shirts. Chris didn't particularly want to dress up and I did, so we met in the middle. I made these shirts at a store in Downtown Disney called "Design-A-Tee." They were relatively inexpensive considering I would have paid the same price for shirts that were already made. It took only 45 minutes for them to be made. Here is the final product:

Mine is Rapunzel, Chris's is Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert
The bottoms of both shirts say "Mickey's Halloween Party 2014."
I wanted to put Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but apparently that's copyrighting (but using their characters and rephrasing that title isn't? Whatevs haha)
Aren't we cute?!
My shirt (again)
Chris's shirt....he's excited, I promise.
See?? haha
I was so excited for this. It's simple frying pan now, but it was a vital part of my "costume" because I eventually was able to make it even more than just any old frying pan...you'll see why soon!

We headed back to Magic Kingdom for the Halloween Party. From the time we left to the time we got back (roughly 2 hours), these pumpkins appeared on top of the entrance!

Going right under it!

Riding the monorail to Magic Kingdom!!!! So much fun!!!

This is a picture of cast members actually blocking people from leaving. The ironic part is that the majority of these people (if not all of them) were people who were being asked to leave the park at 7 because they didn't have a ticket for MNSSHP. MNSSHP is a hard-ticket event that you must purchase prior to entering the park and is separate from your park admission ticket.
WE'RE IN!!!!!!!!!

They had 13 different candy areas where you could Trick or Treat!!! I wore Chris out walking swiftly to all of these different areas! It was awesome! You'll see how much candy I was able to get a little later!

Trick or Treating by Stitch's Great Escape!
These are the treat bags they passed out to everyone at the front of the park (and around other places in the park). It was about the size of a standard notebook.
We passed a Monster's Inc. dance party. I FOUND BOO!!!!!!
AND SULLY!!!!!
AND MIKE WIZOWSKI!!!!

Next we headed from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland! We saw Daisy all dressed up for Halloween!

And Minnie Mouse!
Goofy and Donald were breaking it down together!
They had purple lights reflecting onto Space Mountain!
The Evil Queen from Snow White made an appearance!
And so did the Seven Dwarfs! Check out Grumpy...he never uncrossed his arms! haha
Hello, castle!!!!
Holy cow! I found Waldo AGAIN!
Happy Halloween, Everyone!

They had these light posts everywhere you were able to get candy. It made it very convenient to find them!
All lit up!
A Pirate flag projected onto the Pirates of the Caribbean ride!
Remember I told you you'd see all the candy I collected? Well there it is!
My favorite part in the Pirates ride!
Chris wanted to climb through the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. We were literally the ONLY ones in the treehouse hahaha

An amazing view from the treehouse of Space Mountain and Cinderella's Castle!
Green Castle!!

After leaving the treehouse, we headed towards the castle for the celebration show on the castle and for the fireworks show, HalloWishes!!!!!

The Cheshire Cat made an appearance on the castle!
Halloween projections onto the castle!!!
Dumbo projected onto the castle, making it look like a giant circus tent!
Wreck-It Ralph!!!!! "I'm Gonna Wreck It!"
Gorgeous, isn't it?
THE START OF HALLOWISHES!!!!!!!!!! I took so many videos that the picture don't really do it justice!!! I'm going to make a YouTube account just for this so everyone can see my videos!!
The rest of these pictures are of fireworks during the show and some awesome graphics on the castle!

Pumpkins on the castle!

After we watched the fireworks show, I was REALLY hoping to finally go see Rapunzel!! I had this crazy idea that she would sign my frying pan for me to eventually hang in my future kitchen!!!!!

We made it to the Princess Hall, and there was literally NO wait (even for Anna and Elsa - which is VERY odd because people have waited 3-5 hours to meet them before...).

We walk into the hall and are escorted into the room where Cinderella and Rapunzel are waiting. There was also no one in there either!!! We had both princesses all to ourselves!!! It was so awesome and a very unique experience. They stayed in character the whole time and we interacted with both princesses at the same time! Very awesome!!!

SHE'S SIGNING IT!!!!!!
Had to get a picture!!!
ISN'T IT AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
The lighting makes it look like it had a crack or it's bent, but it's not! It's PERFECT!!!!!

After this, we walked around the park and saw a couple more characters in their Halloween costumes! Here's Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore all dressed up!

We decided to go find a good spot to watch the parade!!! We had amazing front row seats right beside the parade route and close to the castle!
The castle had cobwebs and cute Halloween decor all over it when we were walking from Tomorrowland to Main Street U.S.A.!
The villains were putting on a show for the crowd before the parade started!
READY FOR THE PARADE!!!!!!!

We took a better selfie picture once they turned on the street lamp lights for the parade!

The parade was about to begin. How did we know? THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN RODE THROUGH THE ENTIRE PARADE ROUTE TO GET EVERYONE PUMPED!!!!!!!! He had his pumpkin head in his hand and rode a real horse and everything!!! It was awesome!!!

Next, the characters started walking down the parade route!

Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, and Piglet...
TIGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pluto dressed up as a lion! It was adorable!
Snow White, the 7 dwarfs, Pinnochio...

Even Geppetto made an appearance! Aladdin is there in the back, too!
Jasmine is in the back. Some characters I remember but didn't get good pictures of were the Mad Hatter and Alice!
Mickey and Minnie Mouse!!!!!!

Daisy Duck!!!
This was the Pirates of the Caribbean float. It was neat because they sang "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me!"
These butlers from Haunted Mansion had shovels in their hands, and they scraped and scratched them along the ground to make sparks fly. It was crazy awesome! Again, I have a video so once my channel on YouTube is ready, you can see for yourself just house awesome it really is!!!
My nephew's favorite: HITCHHIKING GHOSTS!!!!!!!
This was an awesome float, too!
The VILLAINS Float!!!!!!
Pain and Panic, Hades's minions!!!!!
The Big Bad Wold, Cruella DeVille, The Queen of Hearts, Bowler Hat Guy, and a few other villains made appearances in the parade.
They danced to their own music!
Cruella was gooooood at being scary
Jafar and Maleficent on another Villains float.

The Evil Queen was riding on the back with her magic mirror to keep her company!

The End!
We followed behind (like I always do with nearly every parade I watch) and felt like we were actually a part of the parade since most people we passed we still sitting down watching haha
The entrance to Magic Kingdom/the train station had turned GREEN!
One of the most amazing nights I've had in a long time. So glad I was able to spend it with my amazing man!!!!!!
They had projections on the ground as we were exiting the park. A pumpking and Happy Halloween!

This was our band we wore in order to let cast members know we had purchased a MNSSHP ticket and were allowed to be there all night!

Guys........We have FINALLY reached the end of this blog post! It took me 2 days to complete it (more like 2-3 hours total). I have a couple more to post, so stay tuned!!!
